Residents Explore the Louisville Mega Cavern

A group of residents from Signature HealthCARE of East Louisville took a recent tour to explore the Louisville.  The Mega Cavern is a man-made cavern is part of 17 miles of corridors located beneath the city of Louisville, Kentucky. It spans an area of approximately 100 acres. Residents enjoyed a tour detailing the cavern’s construction, history as a secret Cold War shelter site, and current use as a recycling center, business park, and tourist attraction.

After the tour, residents and staff enjoyed a picnic lunch on the grounds.
